About this Event

Welcome

Dear NYCFC Premium Seating Member,

We are pleased to have such a special group joining us at Wykagyl Country Club for the 1st Annual City Select Classic, benefiting the City in the Community Foundation. City in the Community uses the power of soccer to promote health, education and leadership development and create safe community spaces, where programming is free of charge for more than 5,000 young people each week. This year will be such a remarkable year for CITC, highlighted by being nominated for an ESPY and opening another 10 pitches in September. This exclusive event will provide the opportunity to directly benefit the local community and create more free spaces to play soccer!

In addition, this event presents a great opportunity for you to get to know other NYCFC members and staff on a more personal level, while having the chance to gain insights into the inner workings of our Club.

As always, your support and continued commitment to NYCFC is deeply appreciated. Other front office members and I are here to ensure you enjoy the experience to the fullest. I am looking forward to seeing you on the links!

About CITC: Since December 2014, CITC has harnessed the power of soccer to promote health, education and leadership development and create safe community spaces, where programming is free of charge. CITC has been recognized recently as the Major League Soccer (MLS) Community Team of the Year and two-time finalist for the ESPN Humanitarian Team of the Year. In 2018, CITC were runners up for the Robert Wood Johnson Sports Foundation Award for Professional Sports Team of the Year. An independent study found that 69% of 11-19-year old’s felt the CITC programs “definitely” helped them stay in school or college, and 52% of older respondents in East Harlem said attending the program helped them reduce or prevent involvement in crime. $4.50 is the total return on investment in health benefits for every $1.00 spent on CITC programming.
