Anchored by its championship Donald Ross golf course and newly renovated clubhouse, our historic Blue Ridge Mountain country club is a beacon for active lifestyles in Asheville. Among the first hundred private clubs founded in America, the Country Club of Asheville was established in 1894 as Swannanoa Country Club. After several changes in location and name, the club attracted famed course architect Donald Ross to design the 6,638 yard par 71 professional track in 1928.

Full country club amenities include an Olympic - size swimming pool, brand-new fitness center, indoor and outdoor tennis facilities as well as children and teen rec rooms. Our attentive service is apparent in the fine cuisine our revered culinary team presents daily, not to mention their expertise in orchestrating special events.

Designed by Donald Ross in 1928, and reconstructed by Richard Mandell in 2016, its bent grass greens and fairways give way to stunning views of downtown Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. This vertical track proves a formidable test with several uphill and downhill shots for golfers of all abilities to master. Sharpen your skills at the practice area featuring both putting and chipping greens as well as a 25 - tee driving range.
