This beautiful artwork depicting a fox was painted by local artist Ra'Chel Alexander. The art piece is titled "Cadmean Vixen."
In Greek mythology, the Cadmean vixen was a gigantic fox that was destined to never be caught. After facing the magical dog Laelaps, who was destined to catch everything he chased, the pair were said to have been turned to stone and cast into the stars. There they remain today as the constellations Canis Major (Laelaps) and Canis Minor (Cadmean vixen).
