Description
Artist - Niki Myers. Sponsored by Mountain Moon Jewelry. Media - acrylic paint, reclaimed jewelry, and other items found in nature and/or parking lots. Artist statement - I make a variety of talismans with metal, plants, bones, and other items from nature. Always using a variety of medium, my adornments range from minimalist designs to wearable intricate art. Making this fox was a journey in letting go of a plan and expanding my creativity. I usually make more minimalist style pieces with metals and items from nature and this project really stretched my creativity in such a playful and fun way. As you view this I hope you feel the love and playfulness I felt while creating it.
Fox form made from ½” marine-grade plywood; approximately 24”w x 24”h x 16”d (at its widest points). Dimensions may be larger depending on artist’s treatment.
