Jacob Beam sold his first batch of bourbon in 1795, laying the foundation for an enduring family business that survived Prohibition until Repeal and allowing James Beauregard Beam to rebuild his family's distillery and grow the brand into the world's #1 bourbon. Through seven generations of Beam family distillers, the Jim Beam family tradition continues on today. In March 2018, Frederick Booker Noe III, Jim Beam's great-grandson and the seventh generation Master Distiller, filled the 15 millionth barrel of Jim Beam, keeping the tradition of Jacob Beam alive for the next generation of bourbon drinkers.
