Description
Although voting rights restrictions have existed since the beginning of our country, we as a people have taken steps forward to right this wrong. Another wave of restrictions increased dramatically after the 2021 election. I began to protest through my textile art. Inspired and comforted by the words and actions of John R. Lewis, I press ahead with my project series, determined that these pieces will be seen in exhibits, determined that they will make a difference. 'Do not get lost in a sea of despair.'
