Description
This abstract piece reflects the darkness, glare, and jumble of shapes in an urban cityscape. There is a track that could rattle with Chicago's train, elevated before it plunges beneath the streets as a subway. The L is made of my favorite burnished colors of pieced and quilted cotton. My son works with this railroad system; I made this thinking of him and all the people whose lives revolve around the train. The sleeve and label can easily be removed and reattached to hang the image any direction. Upside down, it's still an L.
