Description
With its slightly overcast skies and cool breeze, the shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota has the perfect conditions for being alone with one's thoughts for an extended time. With this piece, I hoped to convey the sense of peace and tranquility this spot invokes as one gazes across the water.
Created with rough-edge applique using plain and painted fabrics, with machine quilting and hand embroidered thread and ink details added.
