About The Auction
We live in a world where the health of our planet is in the headlines almost every day, and where talk around the kitchen table includes topics like rising sea levels, extreme weather and loss of biodiversity. The public policy debate about climate changes looms large globally, and as individuals we seek opportunities to make change in our lives and communities.
We asked artists to contemplate their own perspective on the climate crisis. How is the changing climate and its impact on the earth being reflected in their work? When they think about what is at stake, what is most important to protect? What drives them to act, to create, to engage in the effort to fight climate change? Artists sought inspiration from on the farm, their own places of refuge, or right in their own backyards.
At WNC we are finding ways to make agriculture part of the solution through the demonstration of regenerative farming practices, soil health research, and educational programming for people of all ages. All proceeds from this event support our research initiatives, training for new farmers, and programming that highlights the connection between what we eat and the impact it has on the planet.
Thank you for supporting the farm! Happy bidding!
