Art for The Park

Welcome

Art for the Park is the signature fundraising event for the MPHS Foundation. Money raised this week through our virtual silent auction will go to help support the Foundation's programs and mission. We have a lot of great artwork up for auction from local artists and MPHS students! We also have a raffle opportunity for the famous dinner for 8 prepared by Principal Mark Bosco, Chef Dietrich and Chef Brewer!

This year has been especially challenging for many of our MPHS Students and the funding provided by the foundation has never been more important.  Please take a moment to view our video to understand the work that is made possible from the generous support of people like you.

You all play a critical role in our success and the success of the students.  We are incredibly grateful for our Corporate Sponsors, Patrons of the Park and everyone who makes a donation and bids on a piece of art.

THANK YOU!

The Foundation's mission is to enhance the educational experience of every Myers Park Student by expanding opportunity, addressing unmet needs and funding innovation. Myers Park High School is a diverse student body that excels in many areas from academics, to the arts and athletics. However, nearly 1000 students are considered to be at risk. They face poverty, homelessness or other incredible challenges and without the extra support many would not graduate.

Currently, the Foundation funds 2 Communities in Schools Counselors and supports programs such as Mustang Matters and Mustang Movement (MVT). The Foundation partners with E2D, a program that ensures all students have affordable access to at-home technology. This year the Foundation was also able to partner with YMCA Camp Thunderbird to provide a learning at the lake initiative. Students who were part of Foundation supported programs were able to go to a week of "camp" at no cost to the student. The students were able to have virtual school days at the lake followed by afternoon with more typical camp activities.
