Description
Selected as the 20th overall pick of the 1989 NFL Draft, Steve Atwater is known as a hard-hitting and instinctive safety who played in 167 games during his 11-season career. The eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro was an integral part of the Broncos championship season that was capped by the franchise’s first Super Bowl title. In his final year with the Broncos, Atwater recorded one interception, seven passes defensed, and racked up 55 solo tackles and saw a second Super Bowl victory. In 2020, Steve Atwater was selected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and will be inducted this Fall in Canton.
