Camp Dream Mission Statement

Camp Dream provides an experience, not found elsewhere, that enriches the lives of children and young adults with moderate to severe physical and developmental disabilities now, tomorrow, and for the rest of their lives.

About Camp Dream

Camp Dream serves children and young adults with moderate to severe

disabilities through Summer Camp and Camp Out programs in Georgia.

The programs are designed to provide an individualized experience as each

Counselor works one-on-one with a specific Camper. This individualized

attention allows Camp Dream to meet a critical need in serving the

children and young adults that most other programs won't provide.

Play is an incredibly significant but often undervalued part of a

child's social, cognitive, and emotional development. This is especially

important to individuals with disabilities, as their opportunities for

social interaction and growth are often significantly limited.

Camp Dream believes that all children and young adults with a disability,

regardless of their financial situation or the severity of their

disability, have a right to recreational and social experiences that

enhance self-worth and value long beyond adolescence.

The Impact of Camp Dream

"Camp Dream means the world to my family and especially my daughter Ashley. Ashley has been attending Camp Dream for over 12 YEARS and loves it so much that once she gets home from Camp she asks how many months before she can go ago, She has made some awesome friends, and the counselors there are GOD sent and are wonderful with all the campers. I cannot think of anywhere else that I would want my daughter to spend some of her summers. Thank You, Camp Dream, from the bottom of my heart."
