Description
An Indian Steel Tongue Drum with mallets and carrying case
These wonderful instruments are beautiful both in sound and looks
Valued at: $295
The tongue drum is a percussion instrument in the idiophone family; this means that the material the instrument is made out of actually also produces the sound itself, without the need for strings, a membrane, or an external resonator.
The intuitive approach to playing the tongue drum sets it apart from many musical instruments. You don’t need any knowledge of rhythm, percussion, or music theory to play a beautiful tune. It’s impossible to play a bad note, they all sound good together.
This drum has a cut-out of an Om, a sacred symbol considered by many to be the sound of the universe. It represents the union of the mind, body, and the spirit.
It includes a set of mallets and a handmade carrying case.
