The Lethbridge Eagles, U22 Women's hockey team is hosting a Memorial Game on November 27th at 1:30 p.m. It is to commemorate and celebrate the life of a lost teammate and continue the important conversation around mental health.
Last season the team, both players and staff, were deeply saddened by the loss of Eagle's player, Emily Middagh. February 7th 2021, Emily, 22 and in her last season with the Eagles, lost her battle with mental health.
All funds raised, through the silent auction, straight-up donations and 50-50 will be matched by the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association. The funds will be donated to two organizations, Youth One, and Companion Paws. Youth One is a local non-profit organization that is a destination for youth of Lethbridge for mentorship, support, and mental health resources. Additionally, Companion Paws is an organization that provides dogs a second chance and is heavily connected to Emily’s journey.
