Masquerade for Hope Tasting and Auction is our signature annual gala, raising over $100,000 for Colorado cancer patients in need. This year we are celebrating our organization with a fun, seasonal twist. Guests will sip and savor dozens of limited production whiskeys and spirits from local distilleries and enjoy delicious food, entertainment, auctions and drawings in an upbeat and inspiring atmosphere. Masks and costumes will also make this evening one to remember.

All proceeds benefit our grants program, providing unrestricted grants to Colorado cancer patients who are experiencing dire financial circumstances while they are going through treatment, giving them some hope and relief during an especially difficult time.

Background:

Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation was established as The Raymond Wentz Foundation in 2002 by Denver oncologist Dr. David Schrier in memory of his patient, Ray, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 17. Though Ray lost his battle after only 6 months, his bravery and grace touched all with whom he came into contact. The Foundation awards emergency financial assistance grants to patients whose income cannot cover basic needs like food and shelter while they are receiving treatment for cancer. This financial support allows them to focus their limited energy on improved health outcomes, and offers them the dignity to make their own decisions about what expenses are top priority.
