Description
2017 Kosta Browne | Russian River Valley Pinot Noir – Sonoma, California
*** Critical Acclaim – The 2017 has not been rated as of yet, but the last three years this Pinot has averaged 92 points, with ranges of 91-95.
Bright citrus rind with fresh cranberry, strawberry and a touch of baking spice.
Mouth: Broad, with a supportive acid structure which highlights the notes of raspberry, pomegranate and well-balanced oak.
Fun Fact – Within the Russian River Valley lie the smaller appellations of Chalk Hill and Green Valley. The former, farther from the ocean, is relatively warm, with a focus on red and white Bordeaux varieties. The latter is the coolest, foggiest parcel of the Russian River Valley and is responsible for outstanding Pinots.
