Dear Winter Park High School Foundation Supporter,
We are excited to announce our eighth annual 2023 Restore the Roar “adults only” event will take place on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Winter Park Events Center from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM. We would like to thank the City of Winter Park and our Winter Park community for their continued support. To celebrate our 8th year in hosting this event, our Cats are going Mardi Gras Style!
This year, we will continue to engage all WPHS organizations by providing the opportunity to direct the donations you make to any WPHS club, organization or sports program. A percentage (%) of table sales, sponsorships and silent auction items will be directed back to either the group you designate or the group that secured the donation! We are thrilled to offer this benefit to the entire school population with the goal to build community and support all WPHS students.
In addition to this benefit, the Foundation campaign is raising funds for the initiatives below, which impact the entire school:
- Digital & online academic/tutoring programs
- 9GC (WPHS 9th Grade Center) media center furniture
- All-inclusive reading space in Media Center
- Incentive programs to increase student achievement
- New Willie the Wildcat mascot costume
- Other projects, as needed
Winter Park High School is large with almost 3400 students, so every dollar raised is important. We raised over $368,200 last year, while keeping administrative expenses low at 1%. These donations have enabled the WPHS Foundation to undertake projects, both large and small, that raise the bar for WPHS students. They continue to complete, or are in the process of completing, many projects to improve the high school experience for all students.
This is only possible with your continued financial support. The goal is to make Winter Park High School a best-in-class facility. See you on February 3, 2023!
