Description
Catherine McBride is Professor of Psychology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is Past President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading and Founding President of the Association for Reading and Writing in Asia. She has served as Associate Editor of four different journals and is the author of more than 220 peer-reviewed journal articles, mostly devoted to reading and writing development and impairment. She has authored six books, including Coping with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and ADHD: A Global Perspective (Routledge, 2019). Her research is also behind a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) presented by NGO World Learning entitled Teaching Struggling Readers around the World. McBrides broad knowledge of dyslexia is useful in considering theoretical and practical aspects of it across languages and scripts.
