Description
Lauren A. Katz, Ph.D., is a co-founder of the Literacy, Language, and Learning Institute (3LI) in Ann Arbor, MI, where she conducts diagnostic assessments of language and literacy; provides language/literacy intervention; consults with families, schools, and districts; and delivers professional development presentations/workshops. After earning her M.S. degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Communication Sciences and Disorders, she practiced as a speech-language pathologist in the public schools in Montgomery County, Maryland and then at the Lab School of Washington in Washington, D.C. Following that Dr. Katz earned her Ph.D. in Special Education with a focus in Literacy, Language, and Learning Disabilities. Prior to founding 3LI, she was a tenured professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Bowling Green State University. Dr. Katz continues to engage in academic writing and teaching and has numerous peer-reviewed articles and presentations.
