Imagine taking your child to a playground and arriving only to realize there is not one thing for them to do. Your heart breaks and you fight back tears as your child, who happened to be born a little different, looks on while other kids swing and play, enjoying the innocence and beauty of simply playing on a playground.
LuBird’s Light Foundation was created to give all kids a chance to play by bringing inclusion to playgrounds. Currently we are in the process of building a fully inclusive playground at Stanley Marketplace and this year we are going to SPREAD THE LIGHT throughout Denver. Our Foundation is partnering with Denver Parks and Recreation to bring wheelchair swings, wheelchair accessible merry-go-rounds and more to existing playgrounds in Denver!
There are so many things kids with special needs can’t do and we believe playgrounds should not be one of them. Please help us spread the light by sponsoring and joining us at the 6th St. Lucia White Party because
