Fine digital print of an ink and watercolor drawing Edward Gorey made for the “Artist's Notebook” feature of the March 22, 1993, issue of The New Yorker, made from a new high-resolution scan and printed on Mohawk Superfine white eggshell paper. The colorful evening vignette is captioned in a banner, “Frivolity, at the edge of a Moral Swamp, hears Hymn-Singing in the Distance and dons the Galoshes of Remorse.”
This is the second reproduction of an original Edward Gorey drawing issued by the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust from its scanning project initiated in 2019. It is limited to an edition of 50 numbered copies.
