Conifers, cone-bearing evergreens, are essential plants ideal for most every landscape. They form the ‘bones’ of a landscape meaning they retain their foliage all year long providing constant color and form. This collection being offered includes 5-choice selections of dwarf conifers ll of which are known to perform well in our East Tennessee region. Collection will tolerate all day sun to partial shade. Morning sun with afternoon shade would be ideal. Collection includes: ‘Sunny Swirl’ Hinoki Cypress – 8’ tall x 6’ wide. Valued for gold color and sculpted, pyramidal form. Use as a foundation plant for a home or in a mixed border. ‘Gemstone’ Hinoki Cypress – 2’ tall x 1.5’ wide. Valued for dwarf size and unusual foliage of tightly layered, green fans. Use in miniature gardens, fairy gardens or containers such as troughs or decorative pots. ‘Primo’ Arborvitae – 4’ tall x 1’ wide. Valued for dwarf size, deep green summer color, compact foliage, and naturally sculpted shape. ‘Prostrate Beauty’ Deodar Cedar – 2’ tall x 5’ wide. Valued for dwarf size and blue foliage. ‘Birodo’ Japanese Cedar – 2’ tall x 2’ wide. Valued for dwarf size and tight, compact foliage and round form. The last three can all be used as a foundation plant, in a mixed border or decorative container. Auction size: All in quart containers.
