Knotty Knit was born when Heike and Rebecca realized the local knitting and crocheting community lacked access to natural fibers, hand-dyed yarns, and well designed tools. They opened their shop to provide knitters, crocheters, and weavers with beautiful yarn, needles, notions, and patterns sourced locally when possible. Knotty Knit also carries fibers Rebecca and Heike have sourced from locations around the world such as Ireland, Norway, and Japan.

Both are mostly self taught knitters who love to learn from the community and share what they know with others. Education, community, and customer service are the cornerstones of their business. They share their love of making through classes, workshops, and socializing in the store with their clients. 

Since knitting and crocheting can be enjoyed by everyone, they welcome beginners, experts, and everyone in-between!
