Beautiful flowers can make all the difference for your landscape. Lawrence Family Greenhouses is a local, family-owned plant shop in New Bedford, MA. Our current owner's great grandfather founded our flower shop in 1941. The business was then passed down to our owner's uncle who ran it for 42 years. Our current owner, Mike Tremblay, is proud to be the third generation to serve the New Bedford community in a more high-tech version of the old wooden greenhouses. 

And business is blossoming! Watering all those plants is done these days thanks to a couple of taps on Tremblay’s smartphone. The watering system is composed of special tables on which plants are set. The tables have gridline inlets that fill and allow seedlings to be watered from underneath. Tremblay uses an app on his smartphone to control how long the water bubbles up onto the tables. Whatever the plants don’t soak up goes to a 1,000-gallon holding tank and is recirculated back into the watering system.
