Description
Dimensions: 20x16"
Medium: Watercolor
Artist Statement: I started painting because animals and nature were my inspiration. I had to leave my house. In the following years I returned, and with sadness I looked at the pollution and ignorance that had destroyed the animals' habitat. People sometimes ask me why I include animals from around the world, like an elephant. I think that pollution is not only in a ranch, in a town or in a city. What we do here has impacts all around the world.
Artist Bio: Juan Diego lives in Steamboat Springs. He was born in Tabasco, Mexico, and lived in the beachside communities of Cancun and Acapulco before moving to the Rocky Mountains in 2009. The outstanding element that features in Juan's paintings is conservation and the environment.
Juan's paintings, which he typically creates in watercolor on canvas, aim to raise awareness for the planet.
