This amazing quilt measures 65”x86”. It would be great for a twin size bed as a spread, a larger bed as a topper, or as a movie night snuggle quilt. The fabric prints range from Star Wars to superheroes. It has a dark blue border, and is machine quilted in an all-over design featuring stars.

Much like making costumes, quilting is not a cheap hobby.

This lively quilt is made from quality 100% cotton fabric, the same fabric that sells for $12.99 per yard at Joann Fabrics. A quilt this size would require 9-10 yards of fabric to make, so fabric alone could cost as much as $115-$130, Add in batting and the cost to have it machine quilted in an all-over design (machine quilting is routinely charged at a few cents per square inch - 65x86=5,590 square inches at minimum) and it is not hard to estimate that there is at least $300 invested in the materials and machine quilting for the pieced top. Still, that doesn’t count the quilter’s time in cutting, sewing, and preparing the top and back of the quilt before it can even be machine quilted. What is 40 or more hours of your time worth?
