Colorado Disability Funding Committee
Proceeds from license plate configuration sales benefit the Colorado Disability Funding Committee and are used to provide grants to organizations providing disability application assistance and/or new programs or projects that improve quality of life and independence of people with disabilities.
License Plate Configuration Purchase Process:
- Buyer submits payment.
- Buyer, or the person being gifted the configuration, signs and returns Terms of Purchase.
- Buyer, or the person being gifted the configuration, submits the online form at https://tinyurl.com/cdfcdmvform to Colorado State DMV when ready to register the configuration to a vehicle. The name submitted to this form will be the official owner of the configuration, and their name must appear on the title for the vehicle the configuration is registered to.
- Colorado Disability Funding Committee staff sends a letter to the buyer once the State DMV has updated their internal database.
- Owner takes the letter to their County DMV office to order the physical license plates.
Buyer is responsible for:
- Registration fees
- License plate production fees
- Fees for special backgrounds.
Additional Notes:
- License plate configurations purchased through the CDFC do not need to be registered to a vehicle at the time of purchase.
- Configurations purchased through CDFC are considered personalized and are only available on license plates that allow personalized options, see DMV website to verify the type of license plate you want offers the personalized option.
- Please review the Terms & Conditions prior to purchase.
- If you would like the CDFC to consider listing a particular license plate configuration in a sale please fill out this form.
- The CDFC will not notify you if your requested license configuration is added for sale. It is up to the requestor to monitor the auction website.
