Marfa Public Radio

Marfa Public Radio’s core function is to serve as a lifeline for residents of West Texas. As the only public radio station in Far West Texas, Marfa Public Radio is the daily access point for information about our region, state, and nation. Our news team is composed of three full time reporters who are responsible for reaching hundreds of thousands of residents stretched across 30,000 miles (roughly the size of South Carolina). In 2019 we won three national Edward R. Murrow Awards, this year we were the most awarded small station in the country for reporting.

Marfa Public Radio is composed of essential, independent news, as well as, curated local and national news that informs and inspires. We are an anchor in our community, providing fact based information for people with dwindling access to news, while contributing to quality of life, building empathy and encouraging civic engagement. Top of mind for us is always reflecting the people and places of our region, especially during a time when isolation, and access to information can mean the difference between life and death. All proceeds from this auction will go directly towards supporting the operations of the radio station.
