The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria (SFA)

The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria (SFA) is 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is committed to ensuring ALL Alexandria students with financial need have the opportunity to attend college and achieve success.  

Two out of three students in Alexandria Public Schools live near or below the poverty level. We provide scholarships and college and financial aid advising to make their success a reality.  Each year the SFA awards $1 million in scholarships to T.C. Williams High School graduates with financial need. And, importantly, the Fund provides financial assistance to students through all four years of college. But each year, the demand for scholarships far exceeds SFA’s financial ability to provide them, and students are left behind.
