Vista Verde PTA

The Vista Verde Parent Club was originally founded in 1988. Recognizing the need and the opportunity to access the broad resources of State and National PTA organizations, the Parent Club founded ‘Vista Verde PTA’ in 1989. The efforts of the Parent Club are not forgotten and gratefully acknowledged today in their efforts to better the lives of families through parent and child education programs. Our original mission emphasized communication between home and school. The mission remains a cornerstone of Vista Verde PTA as evidenced in our newsletter, welcome packet, parent handbook, school directory, parent volunteers, information nights, parent education nights, to name a few of the ways that we further the mission. Since the founding, the PTA mission was broadened to include educational tracks missing from the school curriculum such as fine arts, physical education and technology. Vista Verde PTA Today Our current mission may be described as ‘expanding our voice’ at Vista Verde and throughout PTA’s ladder. The ‘expansion of our voice’ is evidenced in the breadth of educational programs at Vista Verde and with continued efforts to strengthen the links between home and school. Art Masters, Cultural Assemblies, more instructional aide hours and an astounding amount of parent volunteer hours creates an unbreakable commitment between our school and our parent community. Collectively, our PTA dues give us a stronger voice within the PTA system – from Vista Verde PTA, to Irvine Unified Council, to 4th District PTA, up to California State PTA and finally, at the National PTA level.
