Mark your calendars for the East Polk County fundraising event of the year!
The Southeast Polk Black & Gold Gala, sponsored by Meta, Polk County and Prairie Meadows will be held on Saturday, October 15th in the Bishop Ballroom at Prairie Meadows in Altoona. This annual event by Southeast Polk Dollars for Scholars, and the Southeast Polk Education Foundation, welcomes guests to come and celebrate SE Polk Schools and to support our students and teachers through funding scholarships and grants.
The Silent Auction portion of our event will take place online, through Handbid, and will start on Friday, September 23rd and run through 5pm on Monday, October 3rd. Winning bidders may pick up their items on Tuesday, October 4th from 5pm-7pm in the Commons Area at SE Polk High School. We have some amazing items up for auction this year (and more will be added as the silent auction continues), so be sure to check them out and keep the bidding going!
The schedule for the Black and Gold Gala on October 15th is as follows:
- 6:00pm - Cocktail hour and jazz trio, and Meta STEM Room Experience, Corks & Kegs
- 7:00pm - Dinner
- 7:30pm - Welcome and Program with performances by SEP RythAMetteS and Cheerleaders.
- 8:00 pm - Live Auction
- 9:00pm - After Party with Beads Game, Raffle, DJ and Dancing
- 11:00pm - Event concludes
