As the daughter of a 1984 graduate of Myers Park High School, I am proud to be a 2018 graduate of MPHS and am currently a senior at The University of South Carolina where I have studied graphic design, photography and videography, 3D dimensional design, and visual arts. There are many creative individuals on my father’s side of the family – including artists, sculptors, architects, and landscape architects. My parents’ house is filled with art from these relatives – many of whom I never met. I am not sure if it is my family history or some other reason I became interested in art, but regardless, it is in my blood, and I find visual creativity to be an exhilarating way to see the world.
