I am the mother of a Myers Park High School sophomore. Growing up on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, I’ve always enjoyed a coastal aesthetic. The symbolism and resilience of the oyster shell resonates with me. Oysters foster growth and filter impurities. In spite of unsavory conditions, an oyster can produce a precious pearl. Currently, I am focusing most of my attention on creating custom oyster shell chandeliers.
