Arizona’s Children Association is one of the oldest and largest statewide comprehensive child welfare and behavioral health nonprofit agencies in Arizona. For more than 108 years, AzCA has stayed true to their mission of “Protecting Children, Empowering Youth and Strengthening Families,” serving more than 40,000 children and families in each year.
Since 1912, AzCA has provided life changing programs and services for children impacted by abuse and neglect. We continue to provide tools and education to a variety of parents and caregivers, which are necessary to pursue a life of quality and compassion within our community.
AzCA serves parents and caregivers of all types—first-time parents, teen parents, foster and adoptive parents, kinship and relative caregivers, at-risk families or those who may have had their children removed, as well as experienced parents who just want to be the best parent they can be.
AzCA ensures that individuals can continue to heal from their trauma and express their concerns and fears. Young parents and young adults, who have recently aged-out of foster care, are given guidance and additional resources to empower them to be successful, and to break the cycle of abuse and neglect.
Because of the generosity of our supporters and the community, together, we are able to provide a brighter future for:
Children in need of a safe and loving home.
Youth aging out of foster care.
Teen parents looking to break the cycle of abuse.
Grandparents raising their grandchildren.
Caregivers looking to enhance their parenting skills.
Hard working families who find themselves in crisis.
Parents who want to do the best they can for their children.
Survivors of sexual assault who don’t know where to turn.
AzCA's services are tailored to meet the needs of every individual who comes through our doors—providing a continuum of care, both in the areas of child welfare and behavioral health. Our programs include: Foster Care & Adoption, Kinship Support Services, Behavioral Health & Trauma/Crisis Response, Family Education & Support Services, Young Adult Services, Family Preservation & Reunification, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.
