There’s never been a more important time for VNA nurses to be in local homeless shelters - and your support is needed more than ever. In addition to providing essential nursing services in the shelters, our VNA nurses have also been on the frontline of the pandemic, bravely caring for COVID-positive shelter clients and educating shelter staff and guests with their infection control expertise.
Here’s how the COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way we’re celebrating Art & Soup this year:
- Virtual fundraising | An interactive and engaging online platform includes interviews with artists, chefs, and shelter nurses. Our virtual set-up offers great visibility for sponsors through online ads and messaging opportunities to spotlight your organization and your support ensuring VNA nurses are in every local homeless and domestic violence shelter helping youth, individuals, and families.
- Date Change | April 12-17 (Patron ticker holders receive early access starting April 10): Art & Soup online art sales and silent auction. Local artists will be selling one-of-a-kind artwork with 50% of their sales donated to VNA's shelter nursing program.
- Art pick-up festival and soup tasting | April 18 from 1-5pm: Music, entertainment and to-go soup samplers await you as you pick up your artwork at VNA's office at 12565 West Center Road, Omaha, NE 68144.
- Soup Passport | With every ticket purchase, you receive a Soup Passport entitling you to a free cup of soup at each participating restaurant.
- Buy Art & Soup Apparel | Support & promote VNA, after the event, by purchasing and wearing your official A&S apparel.
