Artist Bio: Brian Bonebrake has amassed a wide following over his 30-plus-year career in the arts. Raised in Colorado, he spent his formative years on the Professional Freestyle Ski Tour in Europe before picking up a paintbrush to study Fine Arts in Perugia, Italy. On return to the States, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado and was awarded the Dean's Grant from the Art Institute of Chicago, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts.
In 1995, Brian opened the Red Trike Gallery in Chicago and has exhibited all over the US. Corporate collectors include the Wrigley Family, Sara Lee Corporation, West National Bank, Florsheim Shoes and the Art Institute of Chicago. His work was chosen for the set of The Joan Cusack Show and public displays at the Field Museum of Chicago and the Children’s Museum of San Diego.
His subjects are as diverse as his artistic talent. From neon hued popsicles to snow-laden treescapes, Brian’s work ranges from realism to abstract. Based in Steamboat Springs, he divides his studio time between painting commissions and pushing boundaries with his paint-laden palette knives.
