About the Performers

Broadway, Juilliard, and international opera performers, directors, and husbands Matt & Edwin Cahill have rich careers that have brought them all over the world. Edwin has a unique background as a concert pianist, Broadway actor and linguist which has informed his work as a director, producer, and librettist. As an actor, singer, model, writer, director, choreographer, artistic director, administrator and producer, Matt also shares his many talents with students where he was most recently teaching at Montclair State University.

Matt and Edwin were married at Wolfe’s Neck Center in 2018 and fell in love with the farm and its community. Their performance will bring together their deep connection to WNC, their musical careers, and their journey of moving to Maine and calling it home.

About the Nonprofit Partnership

All proceeds from this event go to Hogfish, a new performing arts and artist training non-profit that Matt and Edwin founded in 2019. Hogfish is committed to regenerative theater: making the world a better place through the stories we tell, how we engage with our community, and how we train the next generation of artists. Partnering with Wolfe’s Neck Center, Maine College of Art and the Maine Historical Society, Hogfish will bring world class performers to Maine to train, learn, and share their work in our local communities. The 2020 season was cancelled due to Covid-19, but plans for 2021 are in the works.
